1 Tip #1 : Sorting the Find a Rubric Dialog in Canvas This tip has two installation steps and it can save you time looking through your list of rubrics to find the rubric you want to use in your current course. When you click the Canvas/Instructure Community link here , you will see a full in - depth description of the solution to finding a rubric. To simplify this for you, I rec- ommend following the “ Quick Installation ” steps. The full page describes the chronological process that the developer worked through and additional infor- mation for schools that have a custom domain. The solution that works for our Canvas account is in the top section of the page: 1) Install a browser add - on and 2) Install the Find Rubric Sorter user script. FA21:2 September 3, 2021 Tip #2: VidGrid Closed Captioning Tip We have a tip that can save you some time when editing closed captioning in your videos. You may have terms in your discipline that the machine captioning does not pick up accurately. From the Caption dashboard in your video click on the edit pencil icon and the caption window opens. Copy and paste the entire caption into a blank Word document. You can now use the Find and Replace tool in Word to find the terms/words you want to replace. You can find it in the Home ribbon: This tool allows you to “ replace all ” or replace one at a time.
